Is there a cost to join the PrivateScans platform?
No. It is completely free to apply, join and remain on the platform. There are no setup charges, subscription fees or ongoing listing costs.
Which diagnostic providers can apply?
We welcome applications from appropriately registered diagnostic imaging providers that can demonstrate strong clinical governance, suitable insurance, secure information handling and a consistently high standard of patient care.
Which scan services can be added?
Depending on local capability, partners may offer MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-Ray, echocardiography, DEXA, mammography and other suitable diagnostic services. Each service is reviewed as part of onboarding.
Do we need to offer every service or clinic location?
No. You can choose the services and locations that are most suitable for your organisation. Additional services or sites can be considered later as the partnership develops.
Do we have to reserve a fixed number of appointments?
No fixed allocation is required unless one is mutually agreed. Your clinic remains in control of live capacity and can provide the availability that works for your service.
How does the doctor-led patient pathway work?
Every patient completes a PrivateScans doctor consultation before a referral is issued. The doctor discusses the patient’s symptoms, concerns and requirements, assesses whether imaging is appropriate and helps select the correct modality and body area. The referral is then sent to the chosen scan provider with the relevant clinical information.
How are referrals and bookings managed?
PrivateScans coordinates the patient journey, provides the selected clinic with the referral information required and supports appointment booking through an agreed secure process. This helps reduce avoidable administration for the provider.
How are reports and scan images handled?
Secure report and image-sharing arrangements are confirmed during onboarding so results can be returned through a clear, reliable process and made available to the patient as agreed.
What happens after we request access?
Our partnerships team reviews the initial information. Suitable applicants are invited to a discovery meeting, followed by the clinic application, onboarding checks, agreement of service levels and preparation for launch.
Are referral volumes guaranteed?
No fixed referral volume is guaranteed. Activity depends on patient need, location, appointment availability, services offered and patient choice. The platform is intended to create an additional source of suitable enquiries and referrals.
How long does onboarding take?
This depends on the services proposed and how quickly the required information is available. Our partnerships team keeps the process organised, explains each step and works with your clinic towards an efficient launch.
